Sonam T. II is a girl born in 2016, the second daughter of a single mother in a precarious situation with three children. She belongs to the Phomang village in the Eastern Himalayas. The mother can barely support her children. Sonam occasionally attends a local government school, with very low levels of educational resources and facilities. So her future would be to remain poor and uneducated. The current rate of exclusion of girls is very high in these areas.

The mother does some occasional work and takes care of the children, her old father and does housework.

She is currently staying at the Tibetan Children’s Home (TCH) and attends the nearby school.

The sponsor will be in direct contact with the child and monitor the progress in his education.
