Centers of the Foundation

The Compassion Garden Buddhist Foundation is an international foundation for general benefit. It has Central Offices and a Center of Meditation in Madrid, as well as Associate Centers in different parts of the world geography.


In our central offices, located in the Lucero neighborhood, the Associate Centers are coordinated and the activity of the Foundation is organized: teachings, practices and meditations, development aid projects, and retreats, trips and events.


The center of Madrid, next to the central offices, has a large multipurpose space, which is also a meditation room, and other spaces, such as an exhibition area with a small shop, a library and meeting rooms to carry out the different activities of the Foundation. See below.


The associate centres, with their own characteristics and history, follow the Foundation’s philosophy, support its goals and act in a coordinated manner.

Our Madrid Center is located in a large space next to the central offices. It is located in the Lucero neighborhood of Madrid, next to parks, in a well-connected area.

The Foundation’s activities are carried out in the center: teachings, practices and meditations, social aid and development projects, and retreats, trips and events.

The Masters or Lamas of the Center in Madrid are Geshes and some of them are also Rinpoches, with extensive training and experience in their area of origin and also in the West. They are patrons and directors of the Foundation and its associate centers, which are operated by monks of the Foundation, collaborators, employees and volunteers.

Within the premises of the Center there are different areas:
