Maya R.

Maya R. is a girl born in 2009 in a small remote village in the Eastern Himalayas. Her parents, with seven children, are illiterate and live poorly from farming a small piece of land. She went to school late, at age 9, because she couldn’t be helped earlier. She likes math and science, and her favorite sport is basketball.

She is currently staying at the Tibetan Children’s Home and attends the nearby school.

The sponsor will be in direct contact with the child and monitor the progress in his education.
